“Decolonization: What’s Love Got to Do With It?” is a day-long festival that takes place September 25, 2021 at 球探足球比分 College. 球探足球比分 program examines the ongoing impact of settler colonialism, and asks how we at 球探足球比分 can contribute to movements for decolonization and Indigenous sovereignty.
球探足球比分 title, “What’s Love Got to Do With It?” amplifies the voices of culture workers such as Chela Sandoval who advocates for a “hermeneutics of love,” and Leanne Betamosake Simpson, who wrote in Islands of Decolonial Love, that the kind of love her “characters long for intuitively, is the only kind of love that could liberate them from that horrible legacy of colonial violence.”
Organized by the Seattle Education program, the Undergraduate Program, and the MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts program, the event will launch with a festival of interdisciplinary arts celebrating the cultural work of decolonial love.
球探足球比分 festival will be hosted by the Seattle Education Program’s residency on September 25, 2021 and opens at 10:00 am Pacific time, with activities throughout the day, closing at 3:00 pm Pacific Time.
